Twilight and Tantric Sexuality

I confess, I am one of those crazy Twilight addicts out there (and to Godmother's good friend V, this one is for you girlfriend!)...

Edward gets me so hot, so being the analytical creature I am, it left me pondering why... and what I have decided is it's all about the drawn out kiss, the longing, the delaying, the foreplay in other words! Duh! Isn't that what most of us chicks are really looking for? Amazingly hot foreplay! Yes please, sign me up now!

So, next thought - Edward is not about to fall out of the sky and replace our current love partner, nor are we likely to find an Edward for ourselves, so that leaves us with recreating what Edward and Bella have in our own lives.

I did a spot of Googling and the closest concept I could find which we can learn, is Tantric Sex, yes, that is what Sting and his wife have been praising for many years. I learned something interesting today, Tantric Sex can be practised by couples or alone (thank goodness for my single self). It's all about reveling in every awe inspiring moment of your sexuality, it is not focused on "getting there", "climaxing" or even "orgasm", it's more about the journey and turning the journey into the longest, most exquisite experience imaginable (much like Edward and Bella's first kiss).
