You owe yourself a DW!

Anticipating the typical “Durban-is-lovely-in-the-winter-so-endless-family-and-friends-visits-during-July-holidays”, my husband and I had ourselves a little incentive up our sleeves for enduring the influx…yip, a proper Dirty Weekend (DW)!

I can’t recall when last we so enthusiastically counted the sleeps to our departure. And of course, the chosen destination had to be totally indulgent (e.g. private balcony, fireplace, heated bathroom, awesome king size bed, amazing food and wine etc) and therefore conducive to plenty “inside time”.

I will not divulge too much, other than to say that at 10:30AM after our first morning's most scrumptious breakfast, we lit the fire in our gorgeous room’s fireplace and didn’t leave the room till dinner time! And I will also add that it has been a very, very long time since I was the proud owner of a carpet burn…

Ladies, all I can say is that you really owe yourself, your partner and your relationship such rare indulgence! And the real beauty is that the packing list is totally minimalistic, if you know what I mean…:)
